Sa Pa Town General Hospital was established on December 26, 2006 according to Decision 3812 QD-People's Committee of Lao Cai province. Headquartered at: Group 1, Sa Pa Ward, Sa Pa Town, Lao Cai Province. From January 1, 2019, Sa Pa General Hospital was upgraded from a class III hospital to a class II hospital according to Decision 3801 QD-UB dated November 23, 2018 of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province with a scale of 170 beds.
Currently, the hospital has a total of 24 departments, rooms and functional departments. Including: Board of Directors, 4 functional departments, 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments, 2 medical examination rooms, 1 treatment facility + 3in1 methadone dispensing. The total number of officers and employees is 123. There are 103 officers and employees on the payroll and 68 on contract, 20 labor contract employees. Including 29 doctors, 11 pharmacists, 50 nurses, 12 NHS staff, 10 technicians, 11 other officials.
Currently, the hospital has applied information technology for many activities such as examining, prescribing drugs, ordering tests, storing medical records, hospital fees... Along with the close direction and leadership of the Board of Directors. Director and the efforts of all hospital staff, the quality of diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and patient care has been significantly improved.
