Nguyen Khanh Huyen's trip to the highlands was short, but it was enough time for her to leave the stress behind.
Nguyen Khanh Huyen, 25 years old, lives in Hanoi, just had a trip to Sa Pa on the weekend. Huyen works freelance, but the job is stressful. Therefore, to relieve stress, the young girl decided to pick up her backpack and go.
"My job requires creativity. So I decided to relax to balance and regenerate energy," the young female tourist shared. Her main purpose this time is to "hunt" the sunset on O Quy Ho Pass - one of the four famous passes in Vietnam.
Huyen departed from Hanoi at 10:00 p.m. the previous day, arriving in Sa Pa at 5:30 a.m. the next morning. She took a taxi to the homestay to put her things away and sleep again to regain her strength. At 9am, Huyen started her journey of discovery.
The first destination is the town center, wander around the square and visit the stone church. After lunch, at 3:30 p.m., Huyen went to O Quy Ho pass, to a lonely tree to watch the sunset. "The day I arrived, the sunset was very beautiful. I just stood there and waited until the sun was completely gone before returning. One thing to note is to dress warmly when coming here, because the wind is strong." At 6:20 p.m., Huyen returned to the center, wandered around for a while, then had dinner, rested and waited for the bus to depart to return to Hanoi.
Huyen went to Sa Pa with a friend and this was the fifth time she set foot in this place. Huyen loves the weather in Sa Pa, cool during the day and chilly at night. The town center has many places to eat and drink, and there are also many beautiful places around. Those are also the reasons why she decided to travel more than 300 km to Sa Pa to relieve stress, instead of going to nearby locations on the outskirts of Hanoi.
Sharing about the one-day-one-night journey, she said she did not feel tired. "Maybe I've been here many times so I'm familiar with it. The places I want to go are close to each other, only O Quy Ho Pass is far away, so driving by myself is a bit more tiring. But in return, I have moments peacefully watch the sunset here and bring back many beautiful photos, chill, reduce stress," Huyen said.
Huyen and her friend chose a bus to pick up and drop off near their home in Hanoi. In Sa Pa, she asked the receptionist at the homestay to rent a motorbike to help her be proactive in moving. When Huyen arrived, the weather was nice, no rain and not too cold, so it was convenient for motorbike riding.
The place she lives in has a vintage style design. Huyen really likes it because it suits her taste. "This place is for tourists to self-manage, lock the gate with a QR code, lock the room with a code. The homestay has a small kitchen for guests to buy their own food to cook," she said.
Huyen said her trip this time was quick because she didn't have much time and wanted to choose a place she loved to go. With normal schedules, the most suitable time to visit this place is 5 days and 4 nights. However, if anyone has little time, you can refer to her trip schedule this time to gain experience.
Cost of the trip, about 1.1 million VND per person including round trip bus Hanoi - Sa Pa 620,000 VND, homestay 300,000 VND, motorbike rental and gasoline 130,000 VND, other small expenses such as sightseeing tickets, taxi short trip...
